'Learn to Fly Fish' Courses
Learn to fly fish for trout on our 2 or 3 day course in the Highlands of Scotland running in July 2009. Our 'Learn to Fly Fish' courses are based near the village of Evanton, Ross-shire, just 20 miles north of Inverness.
 Instruction mainly takes place at Dalgheal and on a private lochan a short walk away. The lochan is stocked with rainbow trout, but also has its own wild brown trout population - it's an ideal environment to learn to fly fish. In addition to the lochan, we visit a nearby rainbow trout fishery, and there will also be talks on various aspects of fly fishing given at Dalgheal.
The emphasis of the course is on rapidly developing your proficiency in fly casting, but time will also be given to other
aspects of fly fishing including safety, tackle, entomology
and tactics.
 Fly fishing instruction will be given by a professional game angling instructor supported by an experienced ghillie. Each course will be limited to just 6 anglers, ensuring plenty of personal attention combined with expert local knowledge.
The basic course is two days in duration starting on the Friday evening and finishing on Sunday afternoon, but for those with more time to spare and a desire to widen their experience, an optional extension of an additional day will provide a foundation in boat fishing for wild brown trout. There are just 4 spaces available for this optional excursion.
Accommodation
Accommodation options are still to be confirmed, but will likely either be offered at Dalgheal or a local guest house, or you can make your own arrangements should you wish.

Course 1 - Saturday 13th June to Sunday 14th June 2009. Optional boat fishing day on Monday 15th June.
2009 Pricing
Course prices are inclusive of all tuition, fishing permits, course materials and tackle hire. Accommodation must be booked separately. Pricing for accompanying non-fishing partners is available on request.
